To grow something, and watch it grow…

To grow something, and watch it grow…

No matter what we have grown and worked for, we watch this never-ending process with tears in our eyes. Your child, your cat, your dog, your flower, your tree, the business you have established... it makes you tired, sad, and laughing from time to time, yet whatever the outcome is, it creates a life experience.

Whether our businesses are small or large, a handful of thumbs, or you have hundreds of employees, expanding a company is always a painstaking and endless struggle.

The human beings have always wanted to achieve more and more. For this reason, that desire for growth will never fade away. Especially in these times we are in, it is much more difficult to manage this never-ending process, to be in a never-ending effort. The fact that your business is getting hungry and thirsty every day means that you never stop. Sometimes you rebel, you want to breathe and rest, but it is like a baby that needs you, it is impossible not to take care of it, it needs you in everything.

There are lots of topics that are in our concern during the growth, the most important of which is the kitchen of the business. You need to have fertile soil to grow it. In companies, your land is your business's kitchen.

“You should execute your job well and master your kitchen.” Otherwise, your failure may be inevitable. You should be able to work in that kitchen when necessary.

Leading your employees, if I may say so, managing your personnel is one of the most insatiable appetites of companies. The biggest problem is the employee problem, whether they are qualified or not, you struggle finding the right employee for you and so does the employee in finding the right job. While you want to expand your business, it will come at the top of the most important, troublesome and tiring jobs and perhaps will sit at the top of the issues that will cause fear of failure.

Another issue is communication problem. I really want to say help here. It doesn't work that you explain, give examples, and sometimes cut it short at all. As a result, all parties, such as employees, suppliers, customers, the government, banks, defend their own interests, or you cannot see each other enough from where you stand. In such situations, taking a step back can be a solution. I believe the most important detail here is to be able to explain your company culture well.

You have to be agile, adapt quickly to changes, be creative and pioneering. As I stated at the beginning, “it will make you emotional to see it grow up”. There will be such times when you should not get emotional, but be analytical. Empathy is the most important and indispensable emotion for mankind who live with their emotions and find emotional solutions to every problem. You have to be analytical without losing your sense of empathy.

You should be able to explain your company values internally and externally, maintain its continuity, set an example, be open to criticism, do not accept mistakes, and make peace with those you cannot change.

You should make a plan; you should have at least 2- and 5-year plans. You have to stick to those plans or add value.

Don't be afraid of taught judgments and walls, put it together for whatever you want and imagine.

Whatever you're growing, enjoy it
