There are tons of advisory writings and articles beyond number about job interviews. These articles grant you the opportunity to prepare, or at least give you an idea. Indeed, you may be one of those who have been blown away by the excitement they read, or you may be one of those who conduct the interviews with your own unique attitudes.
However, first and foremost, it should be noted that the person you engage with in the interview may or may not be more competent, experienced or better equipped than you… What does it matter? That you are there for a position that you believe is suitable for you. Throw away the stress and fuss and believe that you are ready.
To remind you about what articles and writings mention which articles in general;
- Complete and true information
- Clearing the CV from the experience other than the position applied for or not detailing them
- Arriving the meeting place earlier than the meeting time
- Keeping a copy of the CV with you
- Getting information about the company you are applying for beforehand
- Examining the LinkedIn account of the person who will conduct the interview
- Not overdoing anything, such as make-up, clothing, shaving, perfume; simplicity is of importance in every subject you could think of.
- Being aware of your pros and cons for the position
We've gone through some of the main topics, here the most important stage for you is actually: a) all b) none of them. Of course, b) none of them, why? Of course, it's all true, but it's not your priority. Your ranking on the way to the goal consists of three main steps.
The most important step is to determine whether the position you will apply for is suitable for you. Read the job advert at least 3 times, try to exclude it from the sub-texts, put yourself in the position of the interviewer and think, are you the person described in the ad?
The first step is well done, and you are certainly sure that the you are a great fit for the role. Then, the next and second step is to prepare your CV and apply. Your CV should give information about you, because it will take you to the interview. Your CV should be brief and embody all the necessary information, but not too detailed. You will already mention these details in the interview.
You have successfully passed the first and second steps and you have been called for an interview. Now it is time to get the job, isn't it? The third and most important step is that all you have to do is to be simple and sincere, I'm not saying you should be too sincere, what I mean is just act like yourself and relax. Hear my word, an experienced HR or unit manager will communicate with you on the same frequency.
I've been in so many job interviews that I can't remember the number of them. I did not do any of these with the HR identity. As a result of these interviews, I was mistaken twice, in other words, I hired wrong people for the job position. The reason for this was complete desperation. Why desperation? Because there were no other candidates and there was an urgent need for staff. Of course, the solution was not a long-lived one. You might ask me how I managed to have such a small margin of error. Well, it all happened through applying these three simple steps when hiring people.
To specify clearly who and what you are looking for in the advert,
To carefully read all applications and CVs,
To put yourself in the job seeker's place in the interview with keeping your clear and natural mindset,
Almost all HR officials will read your CV one more time before you even enter the room, and usually after the first meeting and hospitality questions, the formal interview always starts like this: Can you tell us about yourself? What have you done so far? Then, there are the specific questions.
When talking about yourself, do not stray from the requirements of the position, do not give unnecessary information, contest the questions with clear answers, do not go into details that are not asked, and most importantly, do not hesitate to ask what you think about the position.
May good fortune be with you. Good luck.
